Thedevelopmentofvideogamesforphysicaltherapy,knownasexergames,hasgainedmuchinterestinthelastyears.Inthiswork,asytemforrehabilitationandclinicalevaluationofneurologicalpatientsispresented.TheMicrosoftKinectdeviceisusedtotrackthefullbodyofpatients,andthreegamesweredevelopedtoexerciseandassessdifferentaspectsofbalanceandgaitrehabilitation.Thesystemprovidesvisualfeedbackbymeansofanavatarthatfollowsthemovementsofthepatients,andsoundandvisualstimuliforgivingordersduringtheexperience.Also,thesystemincludesadatabaseandmanagementtoolsforfurtheranalysisandmonitoringoftherapies.Theresultsobtainedshow,ontheoneside,agreatreceptionandinterestofpatientstousethesystem.Ontheotherside,thespecialistsconsideredveryusefulthedatacollectedandthequantitativeanalysisprovidedbythesystem,whichwasthenadoptedfortheclinicalroutine...
