Soma position is correlated with time of development in three types of identified reticulosopinal neurons☆

摘要

Therelationshipamongneuronaltype,position,andtimecourseofdevelopmentofidentifiedneuronswasexaminedinthezebrafish(Brachydaniorerio).Thecellsstudied,thereticulospinalneuronsMauthner,MiM1,andMiV1,arelocatedwithinthesamesmallregioninthehindbrain,differstereotypicallyintheirpositionswithinthisregionandalsointheiraxonalprojections.Allofthecelltypesweregeneratedandhadinitiatedaxonaloutgrowthbytheseconddayafterfertilization.Thetimethattheseeventsoccurredwasspecificforeachcelltype,withaxonaloutgrowthoccurringabout10hraftertheneuronalbirthday.Furthermore,thetimeoftheeventsvariedsystematicallyaccordingtothedorsoventrallocationoftheneuronwithintheset.
