In recent years, wind power has been developing rapidly, and it also has achieved large-scale commercial application of the promotion. However, the operation and maintenance technology of the wind farm fails to match the demand for wind power development. Which particular in: the utilization rate of resource in wind farm is low and the operation and maintenance management level is not high enough. Resulting in longer downtime of the wind turbine, seriously affects the economic efficiency of wind farms. In this paper, arming to resolving the wind farm operation and maintenance problems, build a wind farm operation and maintenance video supportive system (MVSS) to improve the utilization rate by the mobile communications technology and networking technology. With the operation and maintenance video supportive platform, the utilization of wind farm resources and the level of management can be improved. The practical application shows that the proposed wind farm operation and maintenance video supportive platform could improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance, reduce the downtime by an average 10-20 hours, which has significant economic and promotional value.
