ABSTRACT Aquaculture is subjected to various toxicants which affect the health status ending with dramatically lost production. The study investigated the prospective effect of Leek extract (Allium ampeloprasum L.) on detoxification and innate immuno response of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) exposed to benzo[a]pyrene (BaP). Fish were divided into 4 groups before being injected with 0 (control), 5, 50, 500 mg/kg of leek extract (dissolved in Dimethyl sulfoxid). After 2 weeks, fish were exposed to.
