Adult Henoch-Sch?nlein purpura and its clinical implications at a tertiary care centre in the Garhwal hills

Henoch-Sch.nlein Purpura (HSP) is a small vessel vasculitis mediated by lgA-immune complex deposition. It is characterised bythe clinical tetrad of non-thrombocytopenic palpable purpura, abdominal pain, arthritis, and renal involvement. Though it is themost common vasculitis affecting children (over 90% of cases), the occurrence in adults has been rarely reported. There have beenno case series in adults presenting with HSP from the hilly regions of Garhwal. We hereby report three cases of HSP in adult residentsof Garhwal hills with some typical and atypical signs and symptoms alongwith treatment outcome
