Dermatomyositis in association with lung malignancy

A 71-year-old man, non-hypertensive and non-diabetic,presented with complaints of an erythematous pruriticrash involving the face, symmetric arthritis of the smalljoints of the hands, and progressive proximal weaknesssince 2 months. In addition, he was having dysphagiaalong with nasal regurgitation since 1 month. He haddifficulty in combing his hair and in rising up fromsquatting position. There was no history of fever, cough,haemoptysis, abdominal or chest pain and no similarhistory in the family. He is a known smoker for more than25 years
