摘要

Big data is an advanced technology where we can use its services for our application. Big data handles large volumes of data upon a sudden rise and request of the users. Transportation system is one where we have to handle big data. Based on the gathered data the decision has to be taken for safer measures and efficient, profitable and secured. In this paper we conducted a survey on big data in ITS (Intelligent Transportation System). Data collection, analytics and frame works can be explained. We concluded from our survey by using big data we will resolve our traditional traffic problems. We attempted to provide architecture for ITS using big data thencalculation of bayonet traffic flow, calculation ofaverage speed of a road, querying the travel path of a vehicle, checking and controlling the fake vehicles.
