Advances in Restorative Resin-Based Composites: A Review

摘要

The history of aesthetic composites is reviewed, including monomers, curing, fi llers, etc. Recently introduced restoratives include fl owable, packable and bioactive materials. After a background in biocompatibility, initiatives currently in development for future clinical products to substantially improve resin composite oral durability and extend clinical service lifetime are described as are initiatives to use tissue engineering concepts and bioactive fi llers to stimulate biological repair and inhibit caries.
