In recent years, non-woven bag filters have been used in waste incinerators for efficient collection of dust and removal of detrimental gas. However, dust dislodgement efficiency decreases with time until the bag filters are no longer useable. Dust adhering to the fabric is a major determinant of bag filter life. In this study, a flat filter was used to study the relationship between various parameters of the bag Filters’ structure and dust dislodgement efficiency. The results confirm that the filter density and the modulus of elasticity of baking fabric in bag filters affect the dust dislodgement efficiency of a bag filter. Higher filter density in a bag filter prevents dust from penetrating the filter, thus helping the filter to dislodge dust easily. The filter having high modulus of elasticity of backing fabric has a small displacement, and prevents the dust from penetrating the bag filter. The filter with the hybrid structure has been suggested, Filter with a hybrid structure has been suggested, its effectiveness has been confirmed for the improvement of dust dislodgement efficiency.
