KOCED(Korea Construction Engineering Development)is formed to provide a shared infrastructure forconstruction and civil engineering facilities across Korea.Users can perform remote experiments on these distributedfacilities using the KOCEDgrid, which is an Internet-basedgrid computing system. We present technologies to supportenhanced hybrid simulation on the KOCEDgrid. A new realtimecontroller and viewer provide a user-friendly interfaceto an enhanced environment for hybrid simulation, whichhas been built on a new version of the grid middlewareand on a new hybrid modeling tool. Users can now conductexperiments more flexibly and combine more than one pieceof experimental equipment. The elimination of unnecessarycommunication overheads has reduced simulation times.
