Airport Terminal Capacity Evaluation based on Geometric Algorithm

摘要

Capacity evaluation is the key part of airport traffic planning. Only the correct evaluation of the airport terminal capacity, can be a reasonable scheduling of flight and raising airspace utilization rate. Some complicated methods of evaluation can figure out the probable capacity for runway or route region but lack of research in airport terminal. In this paper through studying on flying aircraft characteristics of the airport terminal air leg intersection, a geometrical algorithm for calculate is presented in a simple way. In accordance with two flight status such as convergence arrival and dispersal departure, the new capacity evaluation model can be use of calculating respectively. Finally through model verification of two specific airport terminal area such as Wuhan Tianhe and Guangzhou Baiyun terminal area, combined with its airport rules and regulations of CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China), the results of capacity evaluation can obtain 25 or 36 sor-ties per hour respectively. With the evaluation results is corresponding to the actual terminal area capacity, so it has proved the effectiveness and correctness of the evaluation scheme.
