Inthispaperasimpleandinnovativetechniquetocombinenopticalfrequencieswiththeaimtoproduceavirtuallaserwithsuperiormetrologicalcharacteristicsisintroduced.Thealgorithmstocombineanumberofclockstoproduceavirtualclock,whichisalsoreferredaspaperclock,arewellknown.AnexampleofthisisthestatisticalgenerationoftheUTCtimescalebytheBureauInternationaldesPoidsetMesures(BIPM)usingarecursivealgorithm(ALGOS).Asimilaralgorithmtocombinenopticalfrequencies,allofthemwithsamenominalvalue,toproducea"paperlaser"whosefrequencyisknownthroughitsdifferencewithrespecttotheopticalfrequenciesoftheensembleisproposedhere.Asademonstrationofthis,threeopticalfrequenciesstabilizedtotheD2Cs-133line,allofthemwithsimilarfrequencystabilitywereexperimentallycombined.Apaperlaserhasbeenproducedduringhourswhosefrequencystabilityisabout3-1/2timeswithrespecttotheoriginalopticalfrequencies.Thistechniquecanbeappliedtocombineultra-stableopticalfrequenciestoproduceapaperlaserthatcanbematerializedbycorrectingoneoftherealopticalfrequenciesoftheensemble.Therobustnessandstabilityofapaperlaserisveryattractivetoproduceatimescalefromitsoperation...
