PhysicalpropertiesofGalliumdopedZnOinwurtzitephasehasbeenstudied.WehaveusedtheGeneralizedGradientApproximation(GGA)todeterminethestructuralparametersofeachconcentrationofGa.ThemodifiedBecke-JohnsonpotentialTB-mBJhasbeenusedtocalculatethepartialandtotaldensityofstates.Thedielectricfunction,refractiveindex,opticalreflectivity,absorptioncoefficientandtransmittancespectrawerepredictedusingthesamepotential.ThecalculatedenergiesofbandsstructurehasbeenusedwiththeBoltzmanntransportequationtocalculatetheelectricalconductivityofGadopedZnO.Wehaveobservedthatthedonorconcentration,opticalbandgapandelectricalconductivitycanbewidelytunablewiththedopinglevelsofGa.TheresultsofpureanddopedZnOwereinagreementwithexperimentalandothertheoreticalstudies.TheobtainedresultsconfirmthatGadopedZnOisatransparentconductordedicatedforapplicationsinphotovoltaicdevices...
