Analysis of main regularities of periodic discharge passing in fluid stream

Thispaperdescribesthebasicprocessesinthegasdischargeplasmaaccompanyingthejetofliquidflowingbetweenthehigh-voltageelectrodeintheformofatubulartipandtheplanegroundedelectrode.Theprocessisquasi-periodicduetoajetbreakcausedbythe"core"dischargeonthesurfaceofthejetandthearisingshockwave.Themaindischargeisaccompaniedbyoneormorepinchdischarges.Atthebottomofapinchinthemetalthereoccursazonewith~?(100÷300)micronsizeandwithultra-highenergyrelease,wherethemetalishardened.Thepaperanalyzesthecauseofformationofpinchesandofformationofchannelsinthematteroftheanodewhicharesimilartochannelsgeneratedingasduringthepassageofintensebeams.Thepaperconcludesthatthereisaself-focusingmechanismnotpreviouslystudied...
