Currently,manysoftwarepackagesfortheinternalradiationdosimetryhavebeendeveloped.Manyofthemdonotprovidesufficienttoolstoperformallofthenecessarystepsfromnuclearmedicineimageanalysisfordosecalculation.Forthisreason,wedevelopedaCALRADDOSEsoftwarethatcanbeperformedinternaldosimetryusingMIRDmethodwithinasingleenvironment.MATLABsoftwareversion2015awasusedasdevelopmenttool.Thecalculationprocessofthissoftwareproceedsfromcollectingtime-activitydatafromimagedatafollowedbyresidencetimecalculationandabsorbeddosecalculationusingMIRDmethod.Toevaluatetheaccuracyofthissoftware,wecalculateresidencetimesandabsorbeddosesof5Ga-67studiesand5I-131MIBGstudiesandthencomparedtheresultswiththoseobtainedfromOLINDA/EXMsoftware.Theresultsshowedthattheresidencetimesandabsorbeddosesobtainedfrombothsoftwarepackageswerenotstatisticallysignificantdifferences.TheCALRADDOSEsoftwareisauser-friendly,graphicuserinterface-basedsoftwareforinternaldosimetry.Itprovidesfastandaccurateresults,whichmaybeusefulforaroutinework...
