Sixty-two manuscripts representing all nine disciplineswere submitted in 2017. A summary ofthe action taken on these manuscripts by disciplineis provided in Table 1. The acceptance rate for manuscriptsfor which a decision has been made is 32.3%.In 2017, 36 manuscripts are to be published in theJournal of Cotton Science. Distribution of publishedmanuscripts by discipline was as follows: Agronomyand Soils – 8; Arthropod Management – 4; Breedingand Genetics – 3; Economics and Marketing – 3;Engineering and Ginning – 11; Molecular Biologyand Physiology – 1; Plant Pathology and Nematology– 1; Textile Technology – 2; Weed Science – 1;and Editorial Notes – 1.
