摘要

Insulin infusion needle break is one possible adverse event among diabetes patients. Radiation exposure especially due to fluoroscopy in locating them and unnecessary scarring are concerns. The aim of this report is to present a minimally invasive technique to locate the broken needles and remove them. Highlights ? This report is presenting a minimum invasive technique to remove the thinnest 34-gauge broken insulin injection needle. ? X-ray examinations with a wire grid is helpful to confirm the location of small broken needles. ? Microsurgical techniques can reduce operative scarring.
