摘要

This article presents the advantages of edgedetection methods using filtering operations followed byapplication of differential operators eye an image. When usingmethods based on differential operators when applyingintensity variations can be detected by differentiation, but ifnoisy signals differentiation is dangerous due to the effect ofamplifying the high frequencies. To eliminate thisdisadvantage must be designed optimal edge detectors(Canny) which satisfy the following criteria: accuratedetection, correct location and a single response to a singleedge.
