Vibrio furnissii, an emerging pathogen causing acute gastroenteritis: a Case Report

Vibrio furnissii is a motile, Gram-negative, oxidase-positive, halophilic bacteria first defined in 1977. It is ubiquitously present in marine environments and is one of the 11 non-cholera Vibrio species pathogenic in humans, which can lead to human gastroenteritis and extra-intestinal manifestations.
