摘要

Nine selected fatty imidazoline surfactants with alkyl chain length of 11,15 and 17 carbon atoms were synthesized and evaluated for their surface active characteristics and corrosion inhibition of mild steel in boiling 15% hydrochloric acid solution at 110 ± 20C for 0.5 1,1.5 and 3.0 h by the weight loss method. The surface and adsorption characteristics showed that all the investigated compounds have significant surface activity and distinguished inhibition efficiency and followed Temkin’s adsorption isotherm.
