摘要

In the present communication several 2-[(5Z)-5-benzylidene-4-oxo-2-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-3-yl]-N-(2- methylphenyl)acetamide based small analogues have been synthesized by an efficient synthetic protocol. Variation in the functional group at 5-benzylidine ring of rhodanine led to set of 15 compounds bearing substituted N-phenyl acetamide accommodated 2-thioxo-4-thiazolidinone moiety. The chemical structures of the final synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy, ESI Mass spectrometry and elemental analysis.
