Clinical And therapeutic Approach to a possible case of Influenza A (H1N1)

Influenza A (H1N1) is a respiratory disease of viral origin characterized by difficulty breathing, coughing, fever, malaise and weakness of sudden onset. The World Health Organization (WHO) established a set of criteria for the diagnosis and treatment of pandemic influenza. This case report describes teh medical and therapeutic primary health care conduct in a patient with a suspected case of influenza A (H1N1), who came to the emergency department of the Clinic Rescarven Paradise, whose analysis of the nasopharynx sample by direct immunofluorescence (DIF) indicate that it is positive for influenza A virus, without confirmation of the H1N1 subtype.
