摘要

A conceptual model for window manufacturing which is capable of ventilation, regulating sunlight, andreducing a traffic and environment noise has been presented in previous studies. This window combines two basiccomponents: a soundproofing ventilation unit (SVU) and a lighting unit. The former is constructed using a rectangularcubic with input and output openings at both ends. However, when using the rectangular cubic, the indoor lighting effectcould not be expected to be as great. This paper deals with a parallelepiped shape and those acoustic characteristics basedon the experiments and comparisons with those of rectangular cubic SVU.
