The hepatitis virus may play an important role inautoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). We herein reportthe case of a patient presented to our hospital with hepatitisB virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) coinfection whodeveloped warm-type AIHA. The anemia improved, followedby declined viral levels, after rituximab plus antiviral therapy.To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case ofHBV and HCV coinfection associated with warm-type AIHA.Written informed consent was obtained from the patient.
