The MRI is still the most sensitive neuroimaging technique for diagno- sis of double pituitary adenomas, showing its importance for preop- erative detection and the prevention of possible surgical failures. Double or multiple pituitary adenomas have previously been identified dur- ing autopsies or histological exam- ination of surgical specimens (2). Pathological and immunohisto- chemical strate two or more typical adeno- mas occurring in clearly separate locations within a single gland (3).
