Scirtothrips coccolobae sp. nov. (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), a Leaf-feeding Thrips on Sea Grape Known from Florida and the Cayman Islands

A new species of Scirtothrips, S. coccolobae sp. nov. (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), is described from the state of Florida in the United States of America, and from the Cayman Islands. This species appears to be native to the Caribbean region. Present evidence indicates it to be specific to a single host plant, Coccoloba uvifera L. (Caryophyllales: Polygonaceae).?El presente trabajo describe una nueva especie de Scirtothrips, S. coccolobae sp. nov.
