Thepaperpresentstheresultsofexperimentalstudieswithregardtotheresponseofsmallscalemodelstripfootingsrestingonthesurfaceofwrap-aroundreinforcedsoilretainingwallsconstructedusinglocallyavailablesandasbackfillandgeotextileasreinforcingelements.Numberofreinforcinglayersandfootingsizewerevariedtofindtheirinfluenceonthebearingcapacityandloaddeformation(bothverticalandlateral)characteristicsofthewalls.Itisfoundthattheultimatebearingcapacityofthefootingsandinitialtangentmodulusincreaseswithincreaseinthenumberofreinforcinglayersbuttheinitialtangentmodulusdecreaseswithincreaseinfootingsize.
