ThispaperconsiderstheproblemofestimatingthereliabilityR=P(XY)forasystemwithstrengthXandstressY.Wepresentthebestlinearunbiasedestimatorandthemodifiedmaximumlikelihoodestimatorbasedonrankedsetsamplingwithunequalsamples,whenXandYbothfollowexponentialdistributions.Thepropertiesoftheseestimatorsareinvestigated.Theproposedestimatorsareshowntobesuperiortotheknownestimatorsbasedonsimplerandomsamplingandrankedsetsampling.Finally,resultsofanapplicationtoarealdatasetarepresentedtoillustratesomeofthetheoreticalfindings.
