Recent fieldwork in subtropical humid forests of Salta andCorrientes Provinces of north Argentina has revealed a new genusof the anomalonine ichneumonid tribe Theriini (as defined byTownes, 1971, p. 155) and therein most closely related to thePalaearctic and Indo-Papuan genus Heteropelma Wesmael.
