The article deals with developments occurred in the physical and value production of manufacturingactivities and the gross value added yelled by these activities during the 26 years elapsed since 1990.Changes highlighted by quantitative and qualitative developments of these indicators level proved to be ofreduced amplitude, far away from the necessity of modernization of the Romanian economy.
