Numerous barriers exist in the optimal management of children with cancer in low- and middle-income countries. Education and beliefs of parents, distance from the health care facilities, lack of family and psycho social support, the absence of insurance schemes, and lack of trained personnel and infrastructure to name a few. Improvement in mortality is feasible only through early and accurate diagnosis followed by effective treatment.
