High Dose Chemotherapy Followed by Tandem Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Pediatric Patients with Malignant Brain Tumors: Single Institute

摘要

Tumors of the CNS may fail to respond to standard-dosechemotherapy as a result of drug resistance or because of limited drugexposure to the tumor tissue. In order to overcome this high-dosechemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplant (HDCT-ASCT) has beenexplored. It is also appropriate for young children as radiation avoiding orbridging modality.
