Wepresentaquantitativeatlasandcatalogofdarkcloudsderivedbyusingtheopticaldatabasea€?DigitizedSkySurveyIa€?.Applyingatraditionalstar-counttechniqueto1043platescontainedinthedatabase,weproducedan$$A_V$$mapcoveringtheentireregioninthegalacticlatituderange$$vertbvertle40^circ$$.Themapwasdrawnattwodifferentangularresolutionsof$$6'$$and$$18'$$,andisshownindetailinaseriesoffiguresinthispaper.Basedonthe$$A_V$$map,weidentified2448darkcloudsand2841clumpslocatedinsidethem.Somephysicalparameters,suchastheposition,extent,andopticalextinction,weremeasuredforeachofthecloudsandclumps.Wealsosearchedforcounterpartsamongalreadyknowndarkcloudsintheliterature.Thecatalogofdarkcloudspresentedinthispaperliststhecloudparametersaswellasthecounterparts.
