Thegainpropertiesoftwo-pumpfiberopticalparametricamplifier(FOPA)basedonphotoniccrystalfiber(PCF)areinvestigatednumerically.Thepumpdepletionisconsideredin.Theinfluencesoffiberlength,nonlinearcoefficientandfourth-order-dispersionofPCFonthegainbandwidthandpeakgainarediscussed.Furthermore,theeffectofpumppowerisalsotakenintoaccount.Itisshownthat,byproperlyselectingthePCFandsettingthepumpparameters,abroadgainof63dBcanbeobtainedinrangeof420nm,whichisextremelyusefulfortheopticalcommunicationsystem.
