Novelultrafinepolycaprolactonenanoparticles(PCLNPs)werepreparedusingpoly(ethyleneglycol)2000-distearylphosphoethanolamine(PEGPE)astheoilyphaseemulsifierintheemulsionprocess,resultinginPEG-coatedPCLNPs(PEGPE-PCL),whichcouldbereducedandconfinedinsizetobelow50nm.SizeseparationofPEG-coatedpolymerNPsremainsignificantchallengesinthepreparationforfundamentalstudiesandapplications.WeusedagelfiltrationchromatographymethodfortherapidsizeseparationofPEGPE-PCLandstudiedthephysicochemicalcharacteristics.Themorphologyofthecore-shellPEGPE-PCLonamicasurfacefollowedbyNPconcentrationwasobservedbyatomicforcemicroscopy(AFM).ItisimportanttoseparatesizeanddefinePEGPE-PCLstructureforfurtherpotentialindrugdeliveryapplication.
