Westudythedifferentopticalfiltersdesignconsiderationsoverwiderangeoftheoperationconditionsinnearinfraredopticalspectrumtransmissionregion.Therearemanyoperatingconditionsparametersdescribingopticalfilterpropertiessuchastheamountabsorbedelectromagneticradiationwhichdependsontheoperatingsignalwavelength;theamountoftheabsorbingmaterialinthefilterthickness;andtheabsorptioncoefficientofthematerialatthatwavelength.Filtermodulationdepth,filtrationsignalquality,filterdelaytime,filterbiterrorrate,andfiltercorrectionarethemajorinterestingperformanceparametersinthecurrentstudy.BestcandidatematerialsbasedopticalfiltersareusedwhichnamelybariumfluorideBaF2,andzincselenideZnSeandcomparedwiththeirmeasuredresultsbyusingsiliconopticalfilter.Ourresultsarevalidatedagainstpublishedexperimentalstudiesandshowagoodagreementandmatching.
