Guillain Barré syndrome is an acutepolyradiculoneuropathy with differentforms ofpresentation and is currently the leading cause ofacute arreflexicparalysis in the world, its diagnosis is clinicaland additional assesment as electrodiagnosis are used for differential diagnosis, rank among thevariants (demyelinating or axonal) and define prognosis. The purpose of this paper is to makea narrative review of the literature, emphasizing the electrophysiological study, describing earlyfindings, the most common mistakes, while highlighting the importance of classification chartto guide actions towards rehabilitation and functional recovery.
