Gastroesophageal reflux disease affects great part of the world’s population. The modern lifestyle influences the growing dissemination of the disease. Patients’ major complaints are heartburn and acid regurgitation. Barrett's oesophagus is the most serious complication caused by disregard. Several factors can develop such disorder, making the choice of diagnosis difficult. In this article, authors review the subject, focusing on classic diagnosis exams.
