Ameloblastoma is a relatively rare odontogenic benign neoplasm originating from the epithelial cells, with locally invasive behavior, which predominantly occurs in the mandible. Treatment frequently requires the resection of ample areas of the jaws. Rapid Prototyping (RP) is a recently introduced technology used in dentistry which comprises the acquisition of bio-models, compatible with human anatomy, from the medical-odontologic imaginology coupled to computer systems (CAD - CAM). These bio-models improve images of the lesion extension and tissues, facilitate surgical planning in all stages and the employment of surgery materials in the models, with a decrease in surgical time. Current research shows RP applicability in a surgically treated multicystic mandible ameloblastoma by hemimandibulectomy and by reconstruction plaque coupled to condylar prosthesis.
