Periapical cyst is a slow growing dental cyst, which is discoveredon routine intraoral radiograph or cause localized intraosseousjaw swelling. It is typically found at root apex of theinvolved tooth and is discovered on routine radiography. Thispaper reports a rare presentation of periapical cyst. The cystwas localized in the premaxillary subcutaneous tissue, causingdiagnostic difficulty. The steps in diagnosis of the lesion arealso discussed.
