摘要

The continuous generation of rice husk biomassmakes this waste biomass a consistent and renewable resourcefor carbon zero power generation. Biochar fromthe power generation industry could be further utilizedand converted into activated carbon through a simple activationprocess, foregoing the conventional carbonizationprocess. Complete combustion of rice husk into rice huskash could be subsequently processed into sodium silicatewith little difficultly since more than 90%of the rice huskash constituent is silica. Sodium silicate is used mainly asa precursor for both the synthesis of mesoporous silica andzeolite. This paper reviews on the various nanoporous adsorbentsderived from a single rice husk biomass.
