El presente artículo tiene como propósito visualizar los diferentes determinantes demográficos, sociales, económicos, culturales que han colaborado en la diseminación de enfermedades en el mundo entero, o por lo menos en buena parte de éste. Así mismo, se mira desde una perspectiva de salud pública como han existido factores que favorecen la propagación de algunas patologías que requieren de los animales para su subsistencia y proliferación.De igual manera, en este trabajo se muestra la tres patologías que han afectado, afectan o pueden afectar a la humanidad si no se comienza a realizar un trabajo mancomunado entre los diferentes estamentos sanitarios, ya que bien sea por problemas sanitarios o facilidades en el comercio, enfermedades como la peste, la influenza y el ántrax pueden destruir lo que hasta hoy conocemos como mundo.
