Uso y valoración de los recursos naturales y su incidencia en el desarrollo turístico: caso Parroquia Casacay, Ecuador

摘要

El Oro Province has a great biodiversity in speciesof flora and fauna thanks to the great advantage of havingthree different climatic zones (dry, tropical and wasteland).This work seeks to identify the use and value the communityplaces on the natural resources in order to develop tourism inCasacay Parish, Pasaje Canton, El Oro Province, Ecuador. Thestudy employed a descriptive method using a survey, whichwas structured by a questionnaire with closed questions basedon the variables natural resources and tourism development,administering it to a sample of 283 people in the communityand, later, the results obtained were tabulated duringthe process. The results indicate that the population of theparish has little knowledge about the use of natural resources,and this has resulted in a negative impact on the developmentof tourism. This is due to the main income-generatingactivity being agriculture, which causes an accelerated destructionof the environment.
