摘要

Geometric rectification is a mode of image transformation by which its geometry is done planimetrically, thereby eliminating the dynamic distortions in altitude and/or attitude (roll, pitch, yaw) inherent to the remote sensor platforms. This research aimed at testing linear polynomic model in the geometric rectification of an aerophotogram related to the municipality of Santa Maria, RS, georeferentianting them on a cartographic basis in UTM (Universal Transversa Mercator) projection. In the generation of the geometric rectification model seventeen control points were considered. A prefixed threshold accuracy of 0.000957 image units was set. The linear rectification model defined RMS Medium Errors satisfactorily.
