Dear Editor,We read with great interest the study by Adiyeke et al.1In their prospective work, they describe a very importantreduction of post extubation respiratory failure and a hugeimprovement in intensive care unit length of stay providedby systematic prophylactic Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV)after extubation.
