The Study of Social Damage Inflicted on the Families Affected by the Satellite Channel (Case Study: Jahrom Households: 2014)

In today's world, technological advances in communications and information transfer causes communicative interactions in many countries around the world. Given the development of mass media and the increasing use of the new technology, especially satellite channels, we are witnessing the arrival of new cultural elements among families and their privacy that rose different of tastes, attitudes and beliefs among them. This study aimed to investigate the social damage inflicted on the families affected by the satellite channel in the Jahrom city households. This is a survey and survey population consists of all households in the 2014. Data was collected using questionnaire with the alpha of the questionnaire (35 questionnaires) the dependent variable (the use of satellite channels), of 818% and general alpha of questionnaire of 824%, respectively. According to Cochran Formula sample size was estimated of being 382 people. Effective variables in this study were able to predict the coefficient of determination of 832a percentage of changes on the use the satellite channels. Also, increased divorce, moral corruption, promoting violence, waste of time, increased consumerism, and luxury-oriented could influence pathology variables on the use of satellite channels with beta values of 0.119, -0.301, 0.641, -0.656, 0.182 and 0.768, respectively with luxury-oriented being the more effective.
