Fars Zulkadir Family Confrontation with Safavid Dynasty in Shah Abbas I Era

Zulkadir family announced their support of Shah Abbas at the beginning of his gaining the power in Fars and went to Qazvin to welcome the new king. But disagree ments between them and the new commanders of Shah Abbas espicially Murshid Quli Khan led to Mehdi Qoli Khan Zulkadir murder in Fars and the rise of Yaqob Khan, son of Ibrahim Khan Zulkadir. Yaqub Khan first was backed by Shah Abbas and Safavid court, but l ater consolidating its power uprose against Safavid dynasty and Shah Abbas that led to Shah Abbas expedition to Fars and defeated the rebel ruler. Yaqub Khan Murder declined Zulkadir family influence and authority in the Fars state, and after a short whil e the family was dismissed of the Fars rule. Therefore, Fars State was out of Zulkadir fmily rule and the family survivors were content to the adjacent areas.
