Objective To determine whether T 2 ? value of liver or that of spleen is better associated with the presence and Child–Pugh class of hepatitis B related cirrhosis. Materials and methods Fifty-nine cirrhotic patients with hepatitis B and 21 healthy participants were enrolled in this study and underwent 3.0-T magnetic resonance imaging with T 2 ? -weighted sequence. Mean T 2 ? values of liver and spleen were calculated. Statistical analysis was performed to compare the association of T 2 ? value of liver and that of spleen with cirrhosis and its Child–Pugh class.
