ThisstudywasconductedtodetermineefficacyofmycosorbentstoameliorateadverseeffectsofnaturalaflatoxinscontaminatingdietsofCherryValleyducks.Atotalof144,seven-day-oldduckswererandomlyallottedinto4treatments:(1)basaldiet;(2)aflatoxins-contaminateddiet(AFD);(3)AFD+0.2%hydratedsodiumcalciumaluminosilicate(HSCAS);and(4)AFD+0.2%multi-mycosorbents(Thaibentonite,clinoptioliteandyeastcellwall)(MM).Therewere3replicationsof12birdsineachtreatment.Feedandwaterwereprovidedadlibitumthroughoutthe42daystudyperiod.Attheendofthestudy,bodyweightsweremeasuredforthecalculationofproductiveperformance,andbloodsamplesfrom6duckspertreatmentwerecollectedtodeterminehematologicalandserumbiochemicalparameters.DucksfedAFDhadlowerproductiveperformance,hematologicalandserumbiochemicalparametervalues(P0.05).Supplementationof0.2%HSCASand0.2%MMtotheAFDimprovedproductiveperformance,hematologyandserumbiochemistryparameters(P0.05),ascomparedwiththeAFD(P0.05).Theseresultsindicatedthat0.2%HSCASand0.2%MMalleviatedthetoxiceffectsofAFinCherryValleyducks;however,0.2%MMshowedbetterimprovementthan0.2%HSCAS.
