nbsp;ThenutritivevaluesofleavesfromtenvarietiesofVitisviniferawereevaluatedbasedontheirchemicalcompositionandinvitrodrymatterdigestibility(DMD).nbsp;Crudeprotein(CP)contentrangedfrom7.9to11.2%withHon#252;s#252;havingthehighestproteincontent.Neutraldetergentfiber(NDF)andaciddetergentfibre(ADF)rangedfrom27.1to46.3%and17.9to39.4%,respectively.Condensedtannin(CT)contentofleavesrangedfrom2.4to5.0%withBesniandKardinalhavingthehighestCTcontent.TheinvitroDMDvaluesrangedfrom59.8to75.3%.TheIVDMDwasnegativelycorrelatedwithcellwallcontents(NDF,ADF)andCTcontents.ADF,NDFandCTaloneorinvariouscombinationsexplained39.6-63.5%ofthevariationofinvitroDMD.nbsp;ItwasconcludedthatleavesofSultani,PerletteandHonusumayhaveahighpotentialnutritivevalueforruminantanimalsintermsofrumenandwholetractdigestibility.
